Our History

The principal of Mikado, Michael Lane, became interested in computing in the early 1980's when Sir Clive Sinclair introduced the ZX81, affectionately known as the "little black box".

Natural progression to the PC through Vic 20's, BBC's and Amstrads followed with bespoke program writing for Insurance Brokers, Solicitors, Video Production Companies, Harbours and most recently, the Recruitment Industry.

Taking the view that "if you can't beat them, join them", Michael has over the years concentrated on Windows and Microsoft Office programs and offers tuition and programming in all applications within the Office Professional Suite, specialising in Access, Word and Excel.

Networking (wired and wireless) is now a significant part of Mikado's business - including networks with a mix of Windows and Mac machines.
